·         NDE not applicable to UM.

·         Sales/Service cannot offer an NDE to a spouse who is a registered/co-registered owner.

Exception: Underwriting is required to offer an NDE when a policy is cancelled over 60 days or non-renewed, this includes spouses who are registered/co-registered owners.

·         Effective for each renewal of the policy by the insurer and remains in effect until the insurer agrees in writing to provide coverage for the person or persons who were previously excluded from coverage.

·         The named insured must also agree to exclude coverage to himself for any negligence which may be imputed by law to the named insured arising out of the maintenance, operation or use of a motor vehicle by the excluded individual.

GEICO Motorcycle: Must be received prior to handling (only with Supervisor approval).

·         Underwriting is the only department that can offer or remove an NDE.
